Patrick Marleau pays a visit to his biggest fans at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and learns more about RMH-SF’s Child Bedside Program

September 3, 2014 – The children at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital of San Francisco enjoyed the company of a very special visitor last Thursday, August 28th. Patrick Marleau, two-time Olympic gold medalist and San Jose Sharks left wing, stopped by to spend time with the children in the playroom and also visited patient rooms in the intensive care unit. While he was there, Patrick and his wife Christina had the opportunity to learn more about RMH-SF’s in-hospital programs: the Child Bedside Program, in which RMH-SF volunteers bring beverages, supplies, and a caring heart to young patients and their families in their hospital rooms, and Parent Support Events, which provide an opportunity for the parents of critically-ill children to find support and strength in each other over a warm meal.
