Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald House inside UCSF Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay provides a supportive environment for families of pediatric patients to relax and recharge. The House features a comfortable Great Room, kitchen, laundry facilities and other resources to help families meet every day needs.
The House can accommodate up to 12 eligible families overnight. To request accommodations, please complete and submit our online request form.
Please understand that Ronald McDonald House runs at full capacity. Our goal is to be able to provide a room for every family, however we are not always able to accommodate all requests.
The Ronald McDonald House Family Services listed below are open to all families of pediatric patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, regardless of overnight status.
Location: First floor, UCSF Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay, Room C1813
In-patient families: From the Children’s Hospital lobby, use your parent badge to pass through the glass security gate and door marked Ronald McDonald House.
Follow signs to the House down the hallway.
Out-patient families: Please ask your social worker to request access to the House.
*Valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry (may be from outside the U.S.)
No cost, nutritious meals are served 7 to 10 a.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily. Meals are first come, first serve. Grab-and-go snacks and a microwave are available.

Private showers, washers and dryers, personal hygiene items, clean towels and laundry soap are provided free of charge.
UCSF parent badges will allow you to access the security gate that leads to the House. All daytime and overnight visitors must show a valid government-issued ID
(may be issued outside the U.S.) for an instant background check and be free of contagious diseases including flu and cold symptoms.
